Oil, 18 x 20. This very fine 1862 Ithaca landmark was the former home of Madame Helena Blavasky, co-founder of the Theosophical Society in 1875.  While living here she wrote and published her book Isis Unveiled.  Keeler captures the play of light and shadows and dramatizes the colors to give homage to this colorful historic personage.
